LiftMaster Garage Door Opener Light Socket 41A1344

Light Socket Plug for Sears Craftsman, LiftMaster, and Chamberlain chain and belt drive garage door opener models manufacturer from 1984 to current. Part no. 41A1344 or 4A1344

Instructions

Watch our video to see how to easily replace your garage door opener light socket.

You will have to remove the plastic motor housing to access this most easily, which is how we started out in this video. You can pop the light socket out from the front of your motor without taking the plastic housing off using a screwdriver to push the tab in (reference the left tab seen in this video), it's just a little more challenging. Once you have the socket removed from the motor body, take note of which combination of wires are attached to the back of it. Remove the wire terminals from the back two prongs on the socket (using a flathead screwdriver is easiest). Swap out socket for new one and reinsert the wire terminals the same location they were removed from the old socket. Reinstall socket to motor body as demonstrated.
