Finding the right remote control

Wizard openers were originally equipped with different radio receivers and remotes, some of which are no longer made. To match a replacement:

• Check your working remote for the make (Multicode, Tec-Key, LiftMaster, Linear).
• Note the model number (3089, 2010, 2020, 61LM, etc.).
• Confirm the frequency (300 MHz, 310 MHz, 390 MHz).
• Compare with the pictures of remotes shown below and review the Compatibility tab on the product page.

If you cannot identify your remote

We recommend installing a Universal Remote Control Kit, which includes a new receiver and one remote. It installs easily, works with your Wizard opener, and allows you to add more remotes or a wireless keypad later.
