Refresh your Wayne Dalton 9100 or 9600 garage door with this complete outer hinge replacement kit from Express Garage Doors. Designed for foamcore, pinch-resistant doors, this kit replaces the critical outer hinge hardware that connects your rollers and supports smooth panel movement.
Over time, garage door hinges can wear, bend, or corrode, causing noisy operation and uneven travel. This kit includes genuine-spec anti-pinch hinges to restore your door’s original performance and help prevent finger injury between panels. The included 1 oz High-Performance Garage Door Lubricant reduces friction and protects against rust for long-term reliability.
This hinge set is designed for all Wayne Dalton 9100 and 9600 steel foamcore doors. Confirm your hinge numbers (stamped on existing hinges) before ordering.

Common signs include loud squeaking, jerky door movement, or visible bending or cracking in the hinge metal. If the door feels uneven or binds while moving, it's time to replace the hinges.
Count the number of horizontal panels on your garage door. A standard 7 ft door usually has 4 panels, while some wider or taller doors have 5. Select the kit that matches your panel count—each includes the correct hinge combination for that style.
Basic hand tools are enough—use a 7/16" socket wrench or nut driver, Phillips screwdriver, and locking pliers. For safety, keep the door fully closed while replacing one hinge at a time.
No. Screws are not included. If your old screws are stripped or corroded, we recommend adding our 1/4"-20 x 7/8" Zinc-Plated Self-Drilling Tek Screws for the perfect fit with Wayne Dalton hinges.
This hinge set is specifically designed for Wayne Dalton 9100 and 9600 foamcore pinch-resistant steel doors. For other Wayne Dalton models, please contact us before ordering.
Work with the door closed. Remove one hinge at a time, unbolt the old hinge, and align the new hinge in the same position. Re-use existing bolts or install new Tek Screws. Tighten snugly and lubricate the moving joints. See our video guide here: Watch installation video.
Yes. Apply a few drops of the included 1 oz Express Garage Doors lubricant to each hinge knuckle and roller stem after tightening the hardware. This helps prevent rust and squeaking.

We've found that replacing the majority of the hinges and installing the rest of the kit does a pretty good job of silencing the door without needing to deal with that bottom roller. If you really feel it needs to be changed, we have a separate process for that, but it's not necessary for most installations.
