How the Garage Door Slide Lock Works

The lock mounts to the inside of the garage door next to the vertical track. When engaged, the steel locking bar slides through an opening in the track. This physically blocks the door from traveling upward.

To unlock the garage door, simply retract the locking bar from the track before operating the door.
