Description

Keep your torsion spring system solid and smooth with this 3 3/8 in. offset center bearing support. It mounts to the header above the middle of your garage door, holds a standard 1 in. torsion shaft in place with its built in bearing, and gives the stationary end of the springs a sturdy place to anchor.

It is made from 11 gauge galvanized steel, so it stands up to spring tension and resists rust in a damp garage. The bearing comes already pressed into the plate, so it is ready to install right out of the box.

Great for

  • Replacing a bent, cracked, or rusted center bearing plate
  • Fixing a worn or noisy center bearing in one step
  • Torsion spring installs and spring conversion projects

Before you order: measure the offset on your current plate (the distance from the mounting surface to the center of the shaft) to make sure 3 3/8 in. is the right fit. Not sure? Reach out to our team at Express Garage Doors and we will help you match it.

Safety note: torsion springs are under high tension. Always unwind the springs fully before removing or replacing a center bearing support.
