# Genie Garage Door Opener Remote Control

Genie garage door openers use different radio systems, so not all remotes are cross-compatible. To find the right replacement, check the opener’s **manufacture date** (on the power head label) or confirm whether it uses **Intellicode 1** or **Intellicode 2**. Note: **pre-1993** non-Intellicode models do not support modern remotes.
